Merit Brass remains on the cutting edge of technology.  Our warehouse utilizes several automated processes to ensure that product moves expediently and accurately.  Our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) computer system enables all departments within Merit to optimize their productivity with tremendous precision.

In addition to our ERP system, Merit ensures accuracy through a sophisticated Data Collection System that includes RF (Radio Frequency) scanning.  Using a bar code system, product can be received and distributed more accurately and expediently.  With the addition of this technology, Merit has reduced errors and customer service personnel are able to communicate stock checks in real-time, resulting in increased customer satisfaction.

Merit began offering EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) in 1996. EDI is the transmission of information via computers with the assistance of a VAN (Value Added Network).  The VAN acts as a translator of the information from our customer's computers to ours.  This form of technology enables our customers to perform business functions seamlessly and accurately. We have the capability of transacting several documents based on the requirements of our customers.  To learn more about the benefits of our EDI program, you may download our EDI brochure.  You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view this document.  It is a free application which can be downloaded  here.     If you are interested in becoming EDI capable with Merit Brass, please contact Dave Hoggett.
